Cros-Man Direct Underground (Acq) Inc. is committed to provide a safe and healthy work environment and a strong safety and health program that protect its staff, its property and the public from incidents.

Cros-Man Direct Underground (Acq) Inc. has been COR Certified since 2013 and has an exemplary safety record with ongoing monthly inspections and annual audits.

Workers at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety and health initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is necessary for the safety and health excellence the company expects. The management expresses a commitment to work in the spirit of consultation and cooperation with workers and supports the coordination and cooperation of all workers concerning safety and health on the job site.

The management encourages all workers to participate in the program and provides proper equipment, training and procedures. Workers are responsible for following all procedures, working safely, and, wherever possible, improving safety and health measures.

Workers have the following rights:

  1. The right to participate in the safety and health program;
  2. The right to know the hazards associated with the work they do;
  3. The right to refuse unsafe work, and;
  4. The right to work in discrimination-free workplace.

An injury and incident-free workplace is our goal.

Through continuous safety and health efforts, we can accomplish this.

Guiding Principles

Cros-Man Direct Underground (Acq) Inc.’s safety program is in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act. Other safety and prevention professions and manuals have also provided input. The program outlines the responsibility of affiliated/related companies, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

Cros-Man Direct Underground (Acq) Inc.’s safety program endeavors to:

  • Establish that safety is high priority
  • Support the recognition of good safety performance
  • Promote methods and principles that have potential for improving safety

The contents of this program outline the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Program. Along with the respective Safe Work and Job Procedures it is provided to all management personnel and is always available to employees.

Employees at all levels must ensure that the contents of both the HS&E Program and the Safe Work Practices and Job Procedures are followed in addition to all applicable codes and local government legislation.
